Alignment & Opening

Gravity & Grace

The foundation of Qi Gong practice lies in clarifying our skeleton's relationship to gravity. By aligning the central axis, we reduce mechanical strain on soft tissue, allowing the body to settle into a state of effortless support and relaxed alertness.

Energy Circulation

Breath & Vitality

Breath acts as the bridge between mind and body. In our practice, we use rhythmic, abdominal breathing to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting a sense of internal space and the smooth circulation of vital energy throughout the system.

Intention in Action

Quiet & Bright

The practice is led by 'Yi', or calm focused intent. By directing our attention through the body, we refine our proprioceptive resolution. This develops a potent sense of presence, transforming movement from a mechanical act into a meditative inquiry.

Practicing Tai Chi

A Philosophy of Health

Qi Gong is the art of effortless effort. Our practice focuses on the internal cultivation of 'Qi' — the vital energy that flows through all life. By synchronizing breath with gentle movement and focused intention, we dissolve blocks and restore our natural state of harmony and vitality.

Practicing Taiji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan)

The TaijiWuxiGong system of Qi Gong was heavily influenced by Taiji Quan practice and philosophy.

It's founder Dr Shen Hongxun studied the Yang Style under Yao Huanzi (A student of Dong Yingjie), and Tian Zhaolin, the bodyguard of the Yang Family.

He also drew from Buddhist (Dzogchen & Chan) and Daoist (Longmen Pai) teachings, and his own medical knowledge (as a qualified western medical doctor) to create a complete exercise system.
